Dr. Renkuntla encourages all patients to read their dental insurance plans in more detail before coming to the dental office. Every plan is different, however, they do generally cover specific treatments in relatively the same way. This breakdown can be examined below:
Preventive Care – Usually covered between 80 and 100 percent and includes exams, cleanings, X-rays and sometimes fluoride treatments for younger patients.
Minor Restorative Care – Covers about 70 to 80 percent of your costs and usually includes tooth-colored fillings and root canal therapy.
Major Restorative Care – Covers about 50 to 70 percent of treatment costs and typically refers to crowns, bridges and dentures.
While Saginaw Dental accepts all PPO dental insurance plans, we also accept Medicaid benefits for those who do not currently have dental insurance. During your visit, we’ll go over your plan’s details and keep you informed on what your plan covers. We’re proud to be in-network with many major dental insurance providers. Of course, just because your plan might be out-of-network doesn’t mean you can’t save money through your insurance. We’re also happy to file claims on your behalf.
